Tools come in a wide variety of types and specifications, each serving different purposes and offering distinct functions, often requiring specialized expertise. Beyond possessing basic professional knowledge and carefully reading the product manual, it is crucial to use tools correctly and follow proper operating procedures. Unfortunately, we frequently encounter cases of improper tool usage—such as using a manual socket wrench as if it were pneumatic, employing a screwdriver as a pry bar, or repurposing wire cutters (intended for trimming plastic sprues) to snip steel wire. Similarly, L‑shaped extension bars and ratchet wrenches are sometimes used with force‑applying extensions, while torque wrenches, which should be set to a specific torque value, are misused as simple levers. Even more regrettable is the practice of using cable cutters to sever steel wire ropes or reinforcing bars instead of cables. All these examples represent improper tool application; no matter how well‑designed a tool may be, misuse will inevitably lead to its premature failure.
Under the condition of proper use, Longlu Tools offers returns and exchanges for quality issues; however, not all defective tools are eligible for return or exchange. To better standardize after-sales service, Longlu Tools has established relevant guidelines—please take note and ensure your understanding.
Return, Exchange, and Maintenance Procedures
1. Dealers/users shall return products requiring repair or replacement, whether defective or non‑conforming, to the respective distributors or direct sellers.
2. Distributors and direct sellers shall, in accordance with Changlu Tools’ maintenance terms and principles, determine whether the product meets the conditions for free repair or replacement. If eligible, the distributor or direct seller shall provide free repair services, complete the Changlu Tools Repair Record Form, and fax a copy of the customer’s purchase invoice (or receipt) to Changlu’s After-Sales Service Department to arrange for the shipment of free replacement parts. If not eligible, paid repair services shall be provided at the prescribed rates.
3. For products that distributors or direct sellers are unable to repair, the distributors or direct sellers shall periodically compile statistics on the specifications, models, and quantities of items requiring repair or replacement, complete the Changlu Tools Repair‑Pending List and the Replacement‑Pending List accordingly, and then fax these lists to the Changlu After‑Sales Service Department.
4. Upon receipt of the fax, Changlu’s After-Sales Service Department shall, within three business days, review and confirm the validity of items requiring repair or replacement, and assign a tracking number to the distributor/direct seller for shipment.
5. Upon receiving the confirmation slip, distributors and direct sellers shall sort and package the items requiring repair or replacement, place them in a list (envelope), and arrange for the designated carrier specified by Changlu to deliver them to Changlu’s After-Sales Service Department.
6. When sorting and packing returned items, be sure to group them by tool category and clearly label each package as either a repair item or an exchange item (defective product).
Additionally, the product is packaged in woven bags, with the outer packaging clearly marked with the identification number assigned by the Changlu After-Sales Service Department and the company name. We recommend that each package not exceed 25 kg.
7. Upon receipt of returned goods, the Changlu After-Sales Service Department shall process them in accordance with the warranty terms and the return list. If the accompanying documentation is incomplete or non‑compliant, the distributor/direct seller shall be notified immediately. Items that meet the repair or replacement criteria will be repaired or replaced; those that do not will be returned.
Typically, repair turnaround time does not exceed seven business days (calculated from the date of receipt). If a repair cannot be completed promptly, the After‑Sales Service Department will document the repair and parts‑replacement details on the Changlu Tool Repair Record Form and fax it to the distributor or direct seller as proof of service. Should the repair costs be substantial, the After‑Sales Service Department will provide advance notice and seek confirmation before proceeding. We also continuously refine and enhance our services based on customer feedback, ensuring that users can purchase and use our products with complete peace of mind.

Common Non-Insurable Uses and Returns/Exchanges
The mortise tenon is fractured, and there are hammering marks.
Rod deformation and hammering marks at both ends of the T‑rod.
The copper connector of the welding and cutting torch is already damaged.
The tape measure’s scale is already rusted and illegible.
The screwdriver bit has broken off, and the shaft is also deformed.
Overloading the torque wrench has caused the ratchet lever to deform and bend completely.
Overall deformation and bending of the extension rod
The square tenon on the L‑shaped rod has been modified and made smaller.
The square hole inside the connector rod cracked, and it was subsequently used by the user as a pneumatic connector rod, resulting in further cracking.
The square tenon has broken; use an extension pipe to tighten the bolt.
The long socket broke and was repurposed as a pneumatic socket.
The pneumatic sleeve has been modified to feature a round hole, and its exterior has been reworked through turning and grinding.
The circlip pliers have been ground down and modified for use.
Use a monkey wrench for hammering to grind away dimensions and specifications.
The branch cutter’s cutting edge has cracked due to overload.
The open-end wrench has rusted and been used until it cracked.
Improper use of a claw hammer can cause the handle to break.
Self-assembly and disassembly
The cross-shaped tire wrench snapped at the weld.
Use a pneumatic impact wrench to crack it open.
When applying force with the F‑rod, using an extension tube to exceed the load capacity.
Cracking caused by improper disassembly angles and force application.
Use needle-nose pliers as a pry tool.
The surface of the welded rod used for square mortise-and-tenon joints bears weld marks.
Shearing steel with diagonal pliers causes cracking.
The combination wrench has had its surface worn down by the grinding wheel.
The wire cutters were used as welding clamps, leaving weld marks.
The scale on the tape measure is worn and no longer legible.
The cutting edge of the fruit‑branch pruning shears has become chipped and worn.
Using an extension bar to remove a rusted bolt resulted in cracking.
The cutting edge of the wire cutter is already chipped; this issue will occur when using the wire cutter to cut steel wire.
The manual socket fractured when used as a pneumatic socket, and obvious impact marks are visible on the square tenon.
